Re: Help with NC29 engine needed
Not read your thread fully, its a bit too techy for me but MV4 is a standard marking for nc29 parts, dont think it has anything to do with v4sChiefNutter wrote:, then i noticed MV4 on each piston..& thought..huuumm...V4 ?? ..
edit: a quick look through the fiche reveals that the L & N have pistons with part number 13101mv4000 and R & R2 have part numbers 13101mv4780
RVF400 pistons have part number 13101MR8900

oops, sorry mate, best you know I suppose.. lol Anyhow I reckon its the R model pistons you need these seem the more likely to be the RVF ones.

Re: Help with NC29 engine needed
Its a bloody nightmare trying to get spares !!...george whites say they can get both parts but the head gasket is £57 & the rings are about £37 per piston !!!
David silver has the head gasket @ £27, but no rings in stock @ £26 per piston.
I'll have to call Lings in the morning, when you click on "honda spares" nothing comes up...lol
When i looked on cmsnl, the pistons in my rrn are the same as the pistons they fitted to the rrr, & the RVF pistons are different (including different part numbers)
