No, I just added table to allow you to choose. I think any shock between 281-310mm will be good for NC29, bettrer, of course, with adjustable length to adjust it depend of you riding preferences

No only taller, it change bike geometry - so highest value make bike better handle the corner, but less stable on straight.

I've been around a while and AFAIK your only option for the 23 is the Graeme France dogbone linkage kit and a cbr600 f3 rear shock.

You heard wrong, it's a direct fit to the 29 though.

A shock that can be fitted to the NC23 without modification is from the CBR600 FH, FL, FK, FJ IIRC. It also raises the rear ride height a small amount.

yeah thats what i meant. I just knew it was a cbr shock that went straight in. I could do with the little extra height so the 600 fh shock will do me fine :)

As you know i have built a few of these beasties and the latest is Ohlins base rear from a Ducati 748R so anything that is mount , length etc compatible can be made to fit ok. I opted for a 15 mm longer free length to allow for the 17 inch NC29 rear wheel in the NC23 frame . Dogbones and link arms are stock and no problem with binding or interfearance.
I have to add , its bloody perfect on the track and was easy to fit, just cost a bit more than a shitty stock Honda part. I was opting for a CBR900 shock till i got the Ohlins.

You should really be looking to raise the rideheight by about 10mm, absolutely transforms the handling.

If you are just looking to replace the shock and add a couple of mm then the shocks you listed would be fine, unless you want to go with the 17" wheel.
