Point is, it's not about the looks of your bike. The police don't give a shit about that.hannakournikova wrote:Would be easier to get the plod some specs, big plates make it look crap!amorti wrote:Number plates are there for a reason, they are meant to be big enough to read from a distance. However, if you must fiddle with it, go for 7 x 5.5" as this is the same proportion as original 9 x 7", so looks slightly less suspicious. 7 x 5" looks a little bit "letterbox", even to the untrained eye.
If you're going to advise people to do illegal things, it's best to at least qualify that with a warning that it's illegal, eh?

Thing is with the Jap bike is that you have to modify the structure of the vehicle to fit a UK legal plate, I recall you're allowed to have a different plate from the accepted standard for this reason (just like Japanese import cars are allowed 2 line square plates at the rear, that arguement being that you could fit a UK spec bumper/boot in many cases to allow for the correct plate)
Cheers, they get alot of attention, just because people are so used to seeing just the one on the left.
I don't recall the reason for the lump hammer, probably using it to shock a bolt undone or something, will go back to the thread and see if the post that pic is ripped from sheds any light
