Re: Indicators flashing fast, not LED related
got the same experience when changing bulb type indicators to LED.
solution...
RESISTOR
When i bought an ordinary LED indicators, the flash goes in rapid phase. so my friend put a resistor (the white thing that looks like a ceramic/chalk, about 2-3 inch long, with wires) before connecting to the LED. and walllaaaa...flash back to normal.
Lately I bought a RIZOMA LED indicators, it comes with the resistors which instruct how many resistors you need to connect based on the watts of your OEM signal lights (35/55w).

Tony. Bin the bulbs and spray up the original bulbs in orange. It's the wattage of the bulb. Mine did that too.

Can't remember, I'm in cornwall at the minute. But it's definitely the bulbs mate.

RVF has 2x 15W (rear) and 2x 18/5W (front) stock, might be worth putting some 21W bulbs in as per UK VFRs?

Is it a MOT requierment for the indicators to flash at the correct rate?

Re: Indicators flashing fast, not LED related
From what I remember there's no ''right'' flashing rate, just between 60 and 120 per minute (I think, if not it's not far off)

Re: Indicators flashing fast, not LED related
Got this on my slingshot, flashes rapidly. Turns out it's a jap market spec relay, got a UK one coming on Sat. Tried 21w vs the 15w bulbs and make no difference.

I got mine on ebay. Same base as 'car indicator bulbs but smaller heads' - those the ones?
