You need a haynes manual or wiring diagram, wire cutters/strippers, crimp connectors or a soldering iron and heatshrink sleeving if you wanna do it properly. Plus the wring instructions for the angel eyes will help. A multimeter would be handy to check wires/connections but if you can read a wiring diagram you can get away without one.

LEDs are not angel eyes - these are just flexibly LED strips? The proper angel eyes are one piece cold cathode fluorescent tubes. And they come in the right diameter for NC headlights.

I believe there were some very good write ups on how to fit these on the old forum - it doesn't like me searching though.

Correct they are just the flexable LED srips that are cuttable at 3 LED intervals.

All true! :plus: The write ups on the old old old forum (back in 2004) about these angel eyes were mainly done to NC30 headlight units. Few members (and maybe still are nowadays ;) ) used cold cathode fluorescent tubes which are just the ones that were used in desktop pc modding with backlight showing through the plexiglas (mostly for gamers option to show off some pc inside). These come in at around 100mm diameter. As for putting them in the headlight unit, first write ups are to heat the headlight casings in an pre-warmed up oven at not to hot temperature (!), so this will make the kitting around the glass more flexibel/loose, then try to peel it off and scrap the residu. Try carefully open the casing and remove the glass itself, this way it will make clear way for the cathode tubes. Wire up correct to the loom using extra wire, connectors and crimp sleeves, and also decide if you want to put them apart on extra switch. This mod may need you to use an relay switch in line with the wiring and loom (to prevent overheating and damage the loom). This may not be the total write up, but it has been covered and done on as said old old old forum (may have some pics in my data that shows these angel eyes mod).

Reminds me that I may have these tubes new and stocked in a crate somewhere. Never used nor installed as angel eyes before, but I admit I got them ages ago back in the days when I just bought my nc30 and read more and more about them including on this forum :rocks:
