I have the Rick Oliver kit on my wifes bike and its not the width thats the problem its the change in geometry that fouls the exhaust on the swinging arm.

But modifing the exhaust is a small price to pay to get both feet on the ground even if she still wants it lower!

You can get it lower by turning the hub around 180 degrees if it hasn't been done already.

he said 180 not 90 pal its simple if you adjust you chain 180 degrees it will go to the tightest if you adjust it the oposite way the hub will sit lower as oposed to the upper,

simple principle and idea.



you want the hole of the hub/excentric chain tensioner to be at the top, so that the bike is at its lowest by an inch.
hole at the bottom will raise the bike an inch

How much difference is there between the original link and the modded link ie. 35mm hight gain = 6mm shorter link.
Can the link arms just be cut and rewelded or can you remove the side link arm and machine a smaller link to suit?
I would like to raise my back end by 35mm but know that I am capable of producing the links myself, just need the measurements.
