Fitting a baffle into a link pipe won't reduce the noise by much as the idea of a baffle is to redirect the sound waves back into the silencer to be absorbed by the packing,

Thanks mate, that explains why having the baffle in on my can-less test run made so little difference compared with my previous experience of the difference a baffle has made when running normal (race) end cans.
That did have me a little puzzled.

Here's a couple of shots I took while messing about with the link pipe on my previous CB-1 with NC29 'arm.
Maybe you could do similar if the angle of your link pipe allows it? The chopping off is a bit permanent mind, and I didn't have the nerve to chop it shorter and have it really sit under the engine, so I just put the link pipe S-bend back in. Would've looked good I reckon, but as say, just didn't have the nerve to make the last cut.

Did that exhaust angle not affect lean angle?

It was only like that for a test, and if I'd have cut the downpipe right off, the stubby pipe would've been tucked in quite tight to the engine and swingarm, so probably would've been OK.

Looks awesome, I can't see the buyer wanting rid of it though.
I have a
spare pair of CBR900 mudguard clipsto offer if you do contact the buyer.

I am keeping my fingers crossed about that! I have detailed / close up pictures of the exhaust from various angles as well as some details of how to build the system for myself- may make some alterations to this exhaust tho. considering not having the side exit port - just having the exhaust out straight back- only problem there would be if the engine coughs out any oil it would land neatly on the rear tyre (would make things interesting!!!)

The extra heat on your tyre would be a bad idea, IMHO.
