Re: CBR400RR NC29: Fuel injection based in Microsquirt EFI.
I would suggest you look for similar sized injectors from a 600. If you get the injectors, ECU and loom from a Triumph, these are very easily reprogrammed. You would also have the benefit of coil-on-cap spark coils - but only if you can make it fit of course! Perhaps the electrical system from a 600/650 Daytona can be made to fit? It's the only 4-cylinder injected Triumph I can think of. If so, you can reprogram the whole map (fuel and ignition, fan switch temp, starting "choke" cycle, air/fuel correction factor, I mean really everything, much more than a power commander) using freeware "tuneECU" and a very cheaply available (about £10 through eBay) standard Volkswagen/Audi diagnostic cable. I think if it can work, it will definitely be cheaper than getting a specialist racing computer, and yet equally adjustable.
I have to think fitting 40mm CBR929 throttle bodies and then choking them down to a 32mm intake port is going to create some odd swirling effects and seems unlikely to give the best performance. The 600 Daytona has 38mm throttles, which is still not ideal. The new 2009 600 Diversion and the FZ6R have 4x 32mm throttle bodies. No idea on the spacing or layout. You have a problem with the CBR400 - the cam gears are run through the middle, so any other bike's TB's will require re-spacing to fit. My idea would be find a set of FZ6R (or maybe some other low-tuned 600?) throttle bodies and injectors, and hook up to the ECU and loom from a triumph for the programability. The loom won't care which TB's and injectors are fitted as long as they have a TPS which operates in the right voltage range (I have a spare T595 TPS if it turns out useful) and the injectors are just a simple electrical connector.

Just some food for thought, really! Good luck!

Some interesting points there amorti.
I have found a set of TT600 throttle bodies on eBay with 32mm bores, spacings are obviously way out: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Triumph-TT600-Thr ... 45f1926963

Thank you mate for the informations. I'll check dimensions for then Triumph600 TB, but in case inner diameter is 32mm it should be fine. I don't care about length between individuals TB in case it can be separated.amorti wrote:You would also have the benefit of coil-on-cap spark coils - but only if you can make it fit of course!!
As for the COP spark coils - unfortunately Microsquirt ECU do not support such mode, only directly drive coils possible to use. Here is details: http://www.microsquirt.info/dcoil.htm but if you want to drive more than 2 coils, you might look at the 4-coil Bosch 211 igniter or the LSx series of coils with their built in igniters
I have already bought Microsquirt ECU. I don't like to reprogram any ECU due to lack of informations. I have already all setting for GSXR400 ( in you like, I can send you file for MegaTune ) and based on that I think I can find setting for CBR400RR.

About TT600 TB. Looks like there is problem with fitting TT600 TB, because injectors join to the engine intake, not inside of the TB. See on the picture http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Triumph-TT600-200 ... 897wt_1137
Correct me - if I wrong.

Damn, I think you may be right.
Other option is to buy custom throttle bodies such as from http://www.jenvey.co.uk/ or somewhere in your country.

I considered Jenvey TB, but you need to fit TPS, find suitable injectors and so and so... and price just for set of TB at 400GBP is far our my budject :)) Still looking for CB400 Revo TB... in case I can, will buy GSR400 TB.Wozza wrote:Damn, I think you may be right.

Where will you fit the MAP sensor?
I've heard the MS likes a plenum chamber but it might work in the airbox, good luck.
I think Morti is bang on the money! Again

The GSR400 TB have intakes for MAP Sensor and Intake air temperature(IAT) sensor fit inside of the airbox.Waza4 wrote:Where will you fit the MAP sensor?

Top work lads- very interesting reading.PARUS wrote:About TT600 TB. Looks like there is problem with fitting TT600 TB, because injectors join to the engine intake, not inside of the TB. See on the picture http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Triumph-TT600-200 ... 897wt_1137

The injectors do fit into the intake but this may be a good thing, could you not work this in. The TT600 bodys look to be easy to rerack as they use the old style sprung conections between each carb- as the standard cbr carbs.
If you need any info on the TT600 bodys my local shop happens to be a Triumph dealer so i could talk directly to the mech if needed.
