HRC carb upgrade

The nc35 hrc kit doesn't use ram air, the kit airbox will barely see any intake pressure above atmospehric. Most of the hrc carb mods are fuelling related to suit the larger intake of air.

Yes, proper ram air setups (which many nc30/35 racers have) will need the CV carbs modded, float bowls vented to equalise pressure etc.

Having an open tray and shorter stacks like the HRC set-up is a bit nutty to get right.

What are you after, are you tracking the bike, or just want better throttle response?

You could get some NC30 carbs, NC24 sliders and jet it accordingly to give you better throttle response, smoother mid-range.

Yes I am racing it and slowly building it up to make it faster, what would you recommend I should do?

I have access to a dyno so getting jetting right isn't to much of a issue thanks to co2 sensor

If your racing it go ram air, just read up on it and do it right, i think BMC and dynopro will sell you a kit and instructions on setup. Im pretty sure they get late 60's bhp figures from stock motors with ram air. Mid 70's is possible with further mods.

This isnt something you can build up to over time, all mods done at once then dyno time.

Save up if you need to but just wait till you have all the parts (This will give you plenty of time to read up on how to get things set-up) and ram-air it.

Anything else you do to the carbs isn't going to give you the gain your after and you'll be spending money that you could have put towards a ram-air to begin with.

Have a crack with Mike @ BMC - he is also on here as RVFHonda - top man, builds great bikes and was (is) fast as feck too!!

Leon Jeacock, Si Edmundson - both on here, both ride RVFs by him and they are winners...

Hmmm zxr, na I like being the only one out there on a RVF.

Just going through sorting suspension out at the mo, have a local guru helping me so should be the goods.

The only reason why I want more hp is because I struggle to get past the bigger bikes, (SV650s etc, the class I run in they are also aloud to run in) only for them to go past me again down the straights.

Does anyone know a website I can check out to get parts from for ram air set up?
