Cheers guys. Got a day off so I'll give it a crack today!

I took mine off some time ago lots of PLUS GAS if rust is bad then spray some on the day b4 and 5mins b4 you take it off. WD40 is ok but it's more like a larger top plus gas is more like a full fat beer if you get me

Managed to get it off! Took a trip to the garage where he lent me a 3/8 set and a couple of wobble bars. I've been soaking it in WD40 for a couple of days and it came off quite easily.

I take it this isn't normal? When I took off the front pipes the inner 2 studs the thread came out with it



Now the joints were a bit of a mess, exhaust bandage and clamps everywhere 3 on each side.

So, can someone advise me where I can get some new studs and nuts, gaskets from?

Also how many clamps go on there?

Alexwitham has told me a place to get the collars fixed, but would I need to supply new collars? If so where can I get them from?

Not sure about ready to fit collars, but i got in touch with a local welder and he welded some new stainless collars on for me. It's just stainless steel pipe, cut to size.
You can get studs from Rick Oliver, or David Silver spares. And dont forget to get thread lock to put the studs in. Also if you cant get the exhaust nuts off the studs you will need to replace them too. I use one clamp on each front down pipe to collector connection, you can probably get these from Rick or David Silver too.
If you get a local welder to weld new collars on, give him the exhaust gaskets so he can get the right size tubing to fit the gaskets.

When you put the exhaust studs in, use 2 10mm nuts and tighhten them onto each other and then use the outermost one to wind the stud into the head. This will stop a single nut being tightened down to the seperator and getting stuck on the stud with tread lock.
Once you have it sorted it will sound much better

Regarding collars, speak to rcv4 on here. Im waiting for a pair of collars to appear from royal mail as we speak!
He can do you ones that will slip over the end of the front downpipes or ones that still use the honda gasket sleeves.
In error I bought the two gasket sleeves, so if you cant get hold of any give me a shout!

Two gaskets for the rear pipes to manifold plus two gasket sleeves for the downpipes came to £11.52 at my local Honda dealer, and they had them in stock!
