If you have lights, a horn, std rearsets then you can come play in the EMRA roadstocks. SOme of the bikes there are fast...

Re: DX4 - Race Bike Thread
Hi Folks,
Thanks for all your comments on the video. It really make us want to keep making them. In fact... I have the Round 2 video ready to feed to YouTube after some minor tweaks.
So far in short:
Round 2 saw me taking a blow to my spirits as a Hero or Zero moment ended in me losing the front on Shaws Hairpin followed by a accidental endo loosening my slip-on can to the point it was dangling by the hangar - deafening everyone. While this was a pretty fun sound, I got blackflagged so leaving me properly pissed off that I had two DNF's.
What did keep me happy was duels myself and Dan Stamper had. He was clearly way more skilled than me
Finally a near highside put me on the grass after I was trying to make my passing on him stick..
It didnt feel like a good round but somehow with the way I finished in one of the F400 races, I ended up with 2pt in the F400 Championship!
Round 3
This was a properly hot round and for once, thanks to CMSMJ1 I had discs thatw ere not warped to buggery so I could begin to actually start concentrating on my corners without being terrified of braking. The bike also had a new 41 tooth rear to help straightline speed.
Dunno whether it was the raw 26 degree heat that was beating down on the circuit that day or the 3 races gone by, but my rear pirelli wasnt really too interested in digging into the tarmac around gerrards which lead to a few near moments..
I was also trying to fix my crossed up riding position and this led to some 90 mph grasstracking
. Still I stayed on board and inched towards getting my 1.04.. hundredth by hunderedth..
Still a drama free session

Got the video for Round 2 out the door everyone. We did have a lack of time and decent footage so I put this one together trailer style. Things werent going too brilliantly for that EMRA meeting, the soundtrack is meant to put this across im not just trying to make it too over-dramatic
.
Anyways...enjoy!

nicely done mate. I'll go watch that when I get home!
How was Darley btw? Worth doing a race there or was it crap?
Need to hook up and see how things are going - I am planning, again, to get out next year and I think the last EMRA round would be great, but unlikely...

Hehe! Another cracker Mark! Need to get yourself a bike mount for a cam.
Watching that makes me itch for the season to get started here.

Darley was okay but nothin to write home about, dont waste your mondingo juice. Its a little dodgey in places with little run off for fast right handers imho as one guy sailing over the fence followed by his bike by all accounts proved.

Yeah man I want another go at battling ya as im within 2 seconds of your best iirc. Im around 1.04.123 these days from what I remember of my printout from last round.
Stop spending moolah on the ZX7/NBC and come play at Mallory one last time for the year

Thanks again mate. My mate didnt bring the video cam to Round 4 only his SLR which was a shame cus I raced my best weekend ever that time. Shall see what I can do with the 500 odd pics I have. Shall be gettin him to film up the last round.. its gotta be doneMananon wrote:Hehe! Another cracker Mark! Need to get yourself a bike mount for a cam.

Well I remember someone mentioned spycams seem to work really well and are cheap so might be worth a go :). Ah right when does it get going for you? Keep us all posted.
