Re: Carbon Skinning
What have I done? I think I've gone to the dark side - bike bling over performance mods!?
I gave in and got myself some for my road bike.
I wanted to cover part of the screen, because you can see the back of the clocks with my screen and fairing combo: ugly.

The plan was to tint it with spray or sticker sheet (like new sportsbikes) but I thought this fake carbon could be a neat option.
First made a paper template to work from, easy stuff:

The finished article:

The pics don't really tell the true story, it's not very noticeable in daylight and looks better (IMO!) than what you see in the pics.
It also looks better than before from the cockpit:

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it, easy to work with compared to some other adhesive stuff. I can always remove it when I get sick of it.....

Re: Carbon Skinning
That looks alright. It reminds me a bit of the ZX-RR (RIP). The angle of the curve looks a little acute in the pics though?

Re: Carbon Skinning
Oh dear, I've done more...
Was going to paint the exhaust hanger black so it doesn't stand out so much, but decided to wrap it instead:

I'm pretty happy with the overall effect, I wanted it to be less noticed than the silver alloy it was.
