There are loads of other problems too - you have the issue of the nc30 not having a cush drive on the rear wheel - the SV's do

to get the lump in the frame certain lugs/mounting points from the VFR frame need cutting out or off and then re ally welding back on.

The strengthening spar on the frame near the headstock needs to be removed to get the engine in in the first place!

Exhaust routing would need to be changed from the standard sv route - this could create problems with back pressure and running issues.

Radiators would need to be side mounted similar to SP1's as there is no room up front due to wheel clearance,

The airbox has a number of sensors fitted to it which again because of the different shape of the NC frame a new airbox would need developing ...........................................

the list of stuff goes on!!

I'd do it with the carbed rather than the FI myself but that's only one of a number of problems to sort!

As I said I've heard of at least two other attempts, neither of which AFAIK have come to term, I'd love to see one though, If I pick up a cheap SV frame I may try it myself as a project (I have a spare NC30 frame) but it's not going to be any time soon.

there was a readers letter in PB a while back regarding a work in progress Rvf400 fitted with rd500 (or an rg maybe) engine. 100+ bhp possible with tuning and lightweight if you could make it work. Incidently bigbore rd350 engines with the coagar barrels and zeeltronic ignition etc have made 120bhp. You can fit them in Mito's so maybe an nc30 aswell?

Gents,

I new you guys would not let me down! thanks for your inputs

Seems it's quite a mother of a task, with reg to the 750/800 route.

The real goal is to stick with the V4 configuration, Lets face it these motors are special lumps, and the thought of an SV motor in either an NC or RVF doesn't seem quite right, but that's just my feeling.

Next step will be to contact G-Force to find-out availability of the 450 kits, and of course PRICE? anyone care to speculate!

I think Aresy attached a pic of a completed RVF with a 750 lump installed anyone of of this bike i.e how it performs???

Cheers Lads.

I got a funny feeling that castrol 750 didn't perform that well, the last time I saw it up for sale was the 2nd time it's been sold unfinished. You be better off crafting some rvf fairings onto the vfr750, some decent bouncy bits and put it on a serious weight loss program.

With regards to rg500 engines in a nc, already been done and done very well from what I can remember.

The guy I bought the replacement engine for the NC35 had removed it to fit some large 2-stroke, may well have been the one from PB with an RD engine seeing as I got the engine through the PB forum!!
