Am so excited I might go and have a look now see whats goin on with it

Thanks guys I will defo keep you posted and take some pics.   :worthy:

(sigh) .....

No restriction in there guys, at least I don't think so from what I can see.

I couldnt get the carbs off :o can't find any access for the carb rubbers closest to the headstock at all, undid the rear two rubbers but no chance finding front two, anyone know how to get at em ?

Anyway I managed to strip it so far down to get a look inside the carbs, have a look, no restrictors in place, which makes ya wonder why I am only gettin 109mph :( :( :(

No Restrictor

No Restrictor 2

What I did notice even at this stage was just how much dirt was in there, yack, looks like someone has taken it on Skegness beach :x

Really dirty

Air filter, so whats this then ? It looks like a K&N but its not stamped anywhere, or has someone simply bodged a panel filter into the airbox housing ? could this be a problem ? and it says NC30 on it not 35 and what could the other writing be ?

K&N ? not stamped though ?

So what next ? get carbs off, give em a good clean, maybe a jet kit and take it from there ? I wonder if its possible the dirt has clogged up the main jet and this is giving me a poor top speed ?

Any take on this much appreciated.

Thanks

If your getting a true 107mph at 12000 rpm then your gearing cant be standard, peak power is only 13000 rpm and your not going to reach that in 6th. Your running 15/38 yeah?
Also can you see the restrictors wih the carbs on? i thought you had to take them off to get to them

Yes mate gearing is back to standard 15/38 :(

When you open throttle and pull the slider back in the carb this lets you see into the engine and I can't see any evidence of any restriction in there :(

Am thinking now blocked main jets or sommat ? whatever jets are responsible for top end ?

get them carbs off then man..give them a good scrub and see what is what.
You could be running badly due to that airfilter and jets not suiting...

If your bike has had the limiter removed, you should be doing 210-230km/h when topped out, depending on if you've changed your sprocket sizes or not. :)

Silly question but have you had the de-restrictor box removed from the back of the speedo? Im guessing your bike is an import.

The bikes electronically limited to circa 112mph unless you de-restrict it.

Run the blue/orange wire from the cdi to 12v.

All NC35's as far as i'm aware are JDM only bikes.
