Yep! (NC24...)VfRTeddy wrote:ahhh sweet is it easy to take the clocks apart?
Undo the small Philips screw thats hidden in the end of the tripometer reset knob, unscrew the screws and bolts from the back (the front ones are dummys)
The whole lot then drops apart.
This part is crucial to proper finger alignment... if you move the speedo needle you'll see how the back moves..
I set my needle to 80k (50mph) and tape the back in place, if you've done it right when you let go of the needle it wont fling back to zero.
Now using equal pressure from opposite sides prise the speedo needle up and off the shaft its on.
Undo the two philips screws securing the dial, and swap them over.. the needle stop in the old dial can be pulled out with pliers and force if you need it for the new dial.
line the speed up with the now 50mph mark and push the needle on firmly but not hard enough to bend the shaft.
remove the parcel tape and your done

Re: clock colour change
Post some pics up! i'd be interested to see.
I have dials on that I was making myself. There a good replica but theres a little light bleed you can see at night that i'm not happy with. i'm hoping to cure this before I make some that' i'd sell (when i get some time to fart about with toners etc)
