Front End Options for NC30

I have a RVF400 with 2006 Suzuki GSXR-600 front and rear suspension installed. I don't know how close the suspension build for both the VFR400 and RVF400 are, but it's a nice setup. Here are a couple of pics of my bike (Currently has Tyga fairings):

That does look nice alrite...this is what i was leaning towards...a gsxr or cbr front end

did you fit the front end yourself?

I didn't mounty it myself. It looks pretty straight forward. All you need is all the hardware.

Aye i know they pretty straight forward ones you have yokes and adaptors....but was wondering would there be much extra to buy aswel as front end or just a case of modifying yokes

Its not too bad to be honest mate - I just searched ebay alot and picked up stuff as and when I could afford it. You don't notice how much it is then!!

My forks with bottom yoke and stem were £90
Wheel and discs - £170
top yoke - £15
brembos - £65
Mudguard -£70
Harris Clipons - £70ish
Fitting kit from Riley - Well you'd best ask him what he's charging!!

Which duc front end is being used? and what can be used?

I used a 749 front end but as Riley has said any of the 748/916/996/998 series can be used or the 749/999 like I chose
Basically you can use all of it (the Ducati front end) - you just need to add a fitting kit from Riley.

Smev, do you know if its possible to fit a 1098 front end with his kit? I pm'd Riley but he has yet to get back to me.

I would say potentionally yes it will fit - it all depends on if the 1098 uses the same style eccentric adjuster on the headstock?

Ahhhh ok, so the key to the kit is the eccentric. I know the 1098 doesn't have the adjustable steering angle, so that may be an issue. I've read tho that a 999R eccentric can be used with the 1098 front end tho. Should just really act like a spacer of sorts, I guess worst case I may need a custom stem machined....everything like that will usually fit with enough machining and money lol.

There's quite a few Ducati front ends in the breakers near here.
A 748 but it's not cheap. There are a few Monster front ends, fully adjustable, for far less money. Any idea about those?

Afternoon lads, first post - so go easy!

Very interested in this post and photos. Done a few searches seems I need a kit from Riley.

Anyone know if he's still doing them? And also what's in his 'kit'?

I've got a 748 front end almost complete that I'm tempted to put on my wife's NC30.

If this is "plug and play" then great.

Would be really useful to understand what's required for this. This set-up uses the Ducati eccentric adjuster (which I've not got - yet).

Hi Southside -

In the pictures I posted up you can see all the 'kit' parts I got from Riley. (slightly different colour to the honda frame and headstock)

What is involved in making the eccentric adjuster fit the NC30 is some machining. Only enough to allow it to fit into the VFR bearing seats/eadstock.

The NC30 front end gets removed completly. Including bearings from the upper and lower races.

The eccentric adjuster kit slots into where the bearings used to be as in the top picture.

New Ducati bearings are then fitted into the eccentric adjuster, then the stem and yokes.

The top yoke has to be machined too as it would foul on the tank if left.

Then yokes, wheels brakes mudguard etc can be fitted.
