NC29 or NC30???
Hiya All,
Sigh.... winter..... reading about bikes, waiting for the summer!
I just read - the NC30 is 170Kg in weight! Wow, the NC29 CBR400rrn is 182Kg.... thats alot of weight to give away!
Whats the pros and cons of both???
Hope you can advise!
Cheers
Martin

The v4 engine is silky smooth for the road and sounds tremendos with a good pipe on it. Makes a bad rider / racer look good. very easy to ride fast.CMSMJ1 wrote:NC30 has a V4... enough said.

Hiya CMSMJ1,
Not so! The NC29 has Gear driven Cams as well!

Being a conventional In line 4 - easier to service.
It dosen't have a tall 1st gear - so easier in town
More girlie pretty.....

How come the NC30 is sooo light tho??
I just assumed single swing arm bikes are always heavy for some reason!
cheers

Re: NC29 or NC30???
Gear driven cams... yes, becuase Hondas are great.
If you want a girly bike in lame colours that sounds like nealy all other 4cylinder bikes then stick to the CBR.
wouldn't take much notice of published weights though... The 30 may be heavier, I don't know but you can look at the swingarm and see that it contains all the hub gubbins and no cush drive. The rear wheel is so much lighter than a doublesided style so swings and roundabouts.
NC30s are special..they are a diamond.

Re: NC29 or NC30???
I gather from the weight specs youre gonna be racing these right? Having owned both, the nc29 just "fits" me and i love the inline sound. The nc30 parts are more available, but looking at what GF is putting in the for sale section nowadays, top spec parts are getting easier to find.

oh mate... I'm kinda kicking myself... shouldn't be really but still.
11 years ago I was at Bikes direct in Bristol, sitting on a RVF and couple of the NC30s.... I needed a bike to commute to work at the time, and was put off by the stories of high 1st gear, and difficulties of maintenance.
I should have just got a NC30 or RVF back then, and sod it!
