Magic bullet for the rear fairing separation problem

Post by Lope »

NC24 rear fairing separate from the rear seat all the time.
Anyone got magic bullets for this?

At the moment I'm thinking of 2 black screws, a piece of black wire, and a black rubber band.
Or maybe 2 black screws and a piece of black rubber cut from an old bicycle inner tube or something.

Neosophist:
Referring to the rear side fairings, at the front there's a knob that presses into a rubber hole in the tank and a turn secure thing on the frame below that, then at the back of the fairing theres a knob that fits into a rubber thing under the rear seat. that knob doesn't hold.
It always pops out.

VFRTeddy: I didnt think of that. 2 well placed screws will probably not require any rubber bands between them to hold the side fairings in.

Ah.

Replace the rubber grommet, it is worn. (try taking it out and turning it around)
