Breather hose help...HELP!

Post by Danzio »

Fitting a new breather pipe to my tank as the old ones perished and completely knackered...

forgot to trace where it ran from top of tank to bottom so i don't know which way it goes..i know theres the little hole to hold it on the screen brace but so far it always seems too short...its exactly same length as original from parts fiche...??

right hand side of tank....thru the hole and straight down, or... thru the hole, wrap under right hand side of tank and voila?

help guys..cheers! :P

mark... interesting.

how, and what steps would be needed to rid my life of the thing...i hate it..with muchios passion! :ninja:

EDIT: or a way i can get it under the tank without crushing it as i think when it was being crushed (in the past) by the weight of the tank when full it used to lurch in higher rpm..but only when being crushed and with a full tank..(heavy, so crushing it more lol)

any ideas of a good route..?

nc30 owners look at your setup, where you guys run em? well those who still have em!

lol - just don't fit it if you want rid of it.... simple.

it is a vent to atmosphere so route it wherever you fancy...you could have it though the screen brace and then forwards to a nifty little 20ml bottle...or into a loop that will collect any vapour at the bottom of it.

so wait there, does this pipe ont go from the top of the tank to the hole on the bottom? i thort they connected up??? as in running from top of the tank to the bottom hole vent thingy (NOT FUEL HOLE, IM not that stupid!)

i mean, the setup im running...is pipe in top breather hose mount, then running under the tank and into the hole on the base (underside) front section..? is this wrong, i thort you needed the pipe or a vacuum would accumulate in the tank??

Yes, it does to nowhere. That hole under the tank is for the fuel overflow at the filling cap and falls onto the top of the air-box then down the hose that's attached to that.
