Surprised no ones mentioned this from the MCN website, but then again not everyone reads MCN I suppose.

Re: 33bhp restrictor washers
130 for fitting is ridiculous ive had it done.VfRTeddy wrote:ahh sweet i think i will get a dyno then an i was quoted 180 for the washers an 130 for fittin how much of a rip off is that
yes they literally are just four washers, they appear on ebay every now and then.
dont bother finding the washer size they arent a centred hole, its towards one side.
yes its expensive, but trying to find a pair from other sources can be difficult, ive seen them sell from 20-80 quid. they are like air ducts when they come up a lot of people are after them so if its but it now or an offered price from this site and you can afford it id go for it.
if you ever need advice on how to put them in when you get a pair PM and ill give you my number if you need help.

Re: 33bhp restrictor washers
Im no expert, only had the carbs off twice before, but from inserting the allen key into the seat, stripping the seat, tank, airbox and airguides, taking the carbs off, inserting the washers and then refitting the lot and finally tightening the seat down took me 48 minutes and in that time I also took a phone call, poured a glass of Coke, chatted to a neibour and lost a not so captive nut down the side of the engine, which I had to fish out and take the TP sensor off to fit it. I did not take any throttle or choke cables off. Im sure the experts on here could do it in less than half hour. Just make sure you have a decent length and good fitting screw driver before you start, the one I use is just (within a few mill) long enough, I should really cut some of the handle back to make life easier, theres a tipVfRTeddy wrote:charged me 60 sayin it took an hour to take the carbs off put in the restrictors in an put the carbs back on everything else was off

shafted, mine got put in for 20 quid and on the mechanics report it stated 25mins. it took me 45 mins to take out (and thats with same sort of situation as above chit chat and a beer) and that was the first time id gone beyond taking the tank off.
