That will do, not a straight swap but not e every difficult one either.RacingSlug wrote:I can get my hands on a 1999 R6 unit but will it do the job?
I guess it won't be a straight swap job
You'll need to cut the honda plug off and use 5 standard sized female spade connectors (insulated ones!).

Formerly RacingSlug. Felt like a change and it came down to either Biscuits, Ben10 (possible copyright issues) or NinjaSmokeWarrior. The wife suggested TwatMan.

Stick with a honda one at your own risk.tayto94 wrote: I read there that a cbr600 reg fits straight in and is a bit more robust.....anyone know bout this?do you know what year cbr?cheers
Honda can build fantastic bikes, but still has trouble with reg/recs!

Re: Reg/Rec advice
Just make sure its a 5 pin and not a 6 pin R6 rectifier and you will be ok (not the later models in other words, just ask the seller when you come to purchase one.)

Re: Reg/Rec advice
Garrr. Just bought a 1999 R6 unit AND paid extra to get it tomoro. Might ask Santa for a 2005 unit, knowing my luck I'll need it, lols.
