Temp gauge not working
Hi all,
My temp gauge doesn't work.
I've changed the temp sensor sender but that's, obviously, not the problem.
What else could it be?
All help gladly accepted!
Dave.

Re: Temp gauge not working
It doesn't register a temperature? or the temperature needle is at the top?
The the needle always reads 'hot' thats a sign of a bad earth, quite common.
If it isn't reading at all, try to obtain a spare gauge to test with (can be had for around £5) should the replacement gauge not work you probably have a break in the wiring loom somewhere.

Re: Temp gauge not working
Hi mate.
It doesn't read a temp at all. In fact, the needle doesn't even move. Just sits over the far left.
I can get a spare temp gauge, might even have 1, and hook that up. Hopefully it'll work as really can't be dealing with sorting out wiring, etc.
Cheers,
Dave.

Re: Temp gauge not working
Hi, again,
Right, I found 1 of my wires wasn't connected to back of temp gauge properly.
So now my temp gauge needle points as far to the right as it'll go. Guess this means I've got a bad earth then.
How do I fix it???
All help gladly accepted. Tired of not havin a clue how hot my NC's running.
And, bugger, I somehow broke one of the speedo mounts. Talk about going from bad to worse. Possibly a bit over th top but hum ho. Just want this sorted now.
