1993 bandit crankcase gasket

Post by rvas0008 »

Hi there,

Where can I get a crankcase casing gasket for a Japan import bandit 400 ? I've already checked at robinsons's and weemoto in vain!

hi, which gasket are you after? the one behind the clutch cover or the starter cover. I can post you the part No. and you should be able to get them from any Suzi dealer.

my mistake sorry. I meant the gasket which sits on the RHS of the engine where there is the oil window, for the whole cover. The cover has a small dent and oil is seeking out. I would weld it but I have to change the gasket.

BTW, I am finding fuel just beneath the bike and the garage is smelling heavily of fuel. Could it explain why I could not start the bike. Everytime it seems like getting to start but it doesn/t eventually

Part No. for the gasket is 11482-32C11. Regarding the fuel is it coming from the carbs, tank, head gasket or is it in the oil thats coming from the casing, you'll have to put some paper under the carbs and engine and after some leaks out follow it back to its source.

it seems as it trickels very slowly from the carbs.. the stench of fuel in the garage is incredible. I think it is flooded, second time in 2 weeks.. any reasoning ?

It will be either bad o'rings or more likely a sticking float. You probably got something stuck between one of the needle valves and its seat.
