Ride both and decide yourself?? build quality on both isnt fantastic (dont make em like they used to).

personally, i love the Suzuki's engine, but would never buy one. handling and looks i like the cbr but thats just a personal choice there both good bikes.

the suzuki's gearbox is flawlessly smooth, thats what i have noticed the most with all modern suzukis.

i don't think there is a huge difference between them really, unless you are working for a motorcycle magazine and spend your life on a racetrack testing them!

LOL. You don't really expect a Honda forum to say buy the Suzuki do you? ;) Like others have said it's best to try before you buy and see what feels best. However, as far as outright performance is concerned you'ld have to be looking fairly closely at the Suzuki I'd imagine, especially if it has lower mileage and is in comparable condition. Good luck.

I'd go for the Suzuki.

I test rode a K4, RR4 and R6 back in November. I opted for the Yamaha but the final decider was between that and the Suzuki. The Honda was disappointly gutless, a bit harsh, uncomfortable and not built as well as Hondas of old. Shame really - the Suzuki presented a much better road bike option; sounded the best out of the three too.

Really wouldnt bother with a RR3/RR4. i have a 06 plate RR6 and its quite a bit better than the earlier model. more grunt allegedly (but i cant find it) better handling and brakes, and far easier on the eye and lots of differences and a bit lighter too.
However i rode a conona 600 is that a K4 ? i dunno, it was yellow and purple. and back to back its easier to ride, sounds and feels more alive, handling was ok but not as forgiving as the honda, box was smooth unlike the honda's disgusting clunky box and was a nice bike to ride and went well. however all said the RR5 is quite a bit faster up top and is relelenteless almost blade like in its top end rush but this is at the sacrifice of low down grunt.
Honda is dearer to buy, but should devalue less and be easy to sell on later if looked after
