disc bolts nc29
Looking through the Haynes manual they say the disc bolts must be replaced with new ones if you take the discs off on the nc29 but I notice it just says clean and replace them if its the nc23, why is this, seems odd?

I reuse mine, clean off the threads, put on some thread lock and you are away.
Don't know why they would say to turf them each time, I guess they are a reasonably soft bolt.

give them a good look over to make sure they are not stretched in anyway....you wouldnt want to snap one off...not that Ive ever done that.

Yep was thinking of taking the discs off to get the wheel powder coated but not too sure now, maybe have to stretch to buy some new bolts first. Just seems odd its just the nc29, must be something about the wheel, Dunno?

You'll be fine, I've had mine on and off loads of times, just dont over torque them when you put them back on.

Sorry been on nightshift, couldnt reply.
Yep, I always use thread lock on something like that and torque correctly If I can. I didnt really consult the manual but just noticed it and wondered why they would say that for one model and not the other, just seemed odd and wondererd if any one knew why.
