Fork Protectors - Do I glue down? With what?

Post by marty400 »

Hiya All,

I'm getting the below, and I'm figuring out the best way to put them on!
http://www.wizbizltd.co.uk/public/viewp ... TagList=46

They are cable ties, so I don't need to drop the forks out etc.

Should I glue them on as well, for piece of mind?
Whats the best ahesive to use? (Something that won't damage the fork lacquire etc. THat will be easy to take off - If I ever need to have the forks dropped out etc etc.)

Superglue too OTT?
Threadlock - just to "hold" them on?
Use nothing best?

Hope you can advise!

big chunky cable ties with metal holder bit will be fine.
glue them in place and you wont get them off when you change fork seals.
