Tyga Exhaust, how loud?

Post by amartin930 »

Hi everyone!

I've got a full Tyga exhaust system on my NC30 with an oval end can & I also have a moto magott end can. I was interested to know how loud they were....

I can report the following information following a track day at Brands Hatch today,

I had both end cans tested & the results are as follows, 400cc bikes are tested at 8000 rpm.

Tyga oval end can 106.9 db @ 8000 rpm

Tyga Moto Magott end can 118.9 db @ 8000 rpm!

They let me use the oval end can but the limit was 105 db

The Tyga magott is basically the Moto GP can.
No I didn't expect it to be that loud either!

You we're lucky at Brands!!

Hahahaha i just placed an order for a stainless oval end can today for my rvf to go with the rest of the stock system.
106db with your full system should translate to well under 100db for my stock system i reckon? Anyone?

Either way can't wait to unleash some sweet sounds!

I reckn you'll still get 102 or more...

I get 107 with my Hiperform full system with a shorty can and 105.9 with an ART pro series..

I've bought a slip on but my system is the standard rvf 3 bolt configuration. Will chopping it be an issue to fit the slip on?
Obv i won't be trying it in the backyard!

You would be best to buy a bolt on can then you won't have to chop anything.
