nc30 tank - underneath...

Post by pugparcels »

hopefully a simple one - have checked my haynes manual but cant see anything... i have removed the tank for sanding preping etc ready for painting later in the month, i have just come across a connection on the underside of the tank for hose of some sort..

it is at the top right hand corner ( underneath ) basically below of breather hose on the top of the tank as you sit on the bike with the tank fitted. is it just a connection for a over flow hose? as i appear to have nothing spare....

im asuming it cant be overly major as i have had her running before discovering this.

as always your help is really appreciated.

Yeah i noticed the same when sanding down mine, its a rain-water drain pipe from the hole underneath the petrol cap assembly, so rain water doesnt build up there.

ok - makes sense, should it have a hose on it? i am guessing not as i cannot see any mention in the manual as mentioned. for the amount of water that is likely to get down and through it is proberly not worth worrying about.

yup im assuming even with a lot of water it just drips down the air box and evaporates off the engine.. Mind you theres a myriad of drain pipes on the bike, tank breather, battery acid overflow, radiator overflow and another one by the swingarm i never figured out...

The little niopple on the tank sits in the hole in the top of your airbox. There should be a pipe running from the nipple on the airbox down the left hand side of the bike.
Too spensiff!!!
