NC 30 starting problem.

Hi i,ve just got a nc30 g plate, 28,oookms tidy bike. got it as a none starter not been started in ten months, ive changed to fuel had the carbs of (all clear) checked the plugs, new! it turns over fine and ocassionaly tries for a second but then nothing, i have fuel and a spark ????? Where do i go next i,m at my wits end with it!! cheers all. :wtf:

My bets are on it being flooded, especially as you say it tries to run for a second.

Get it some new plugs, full choke and NO throttle to start it.

As above but I'd be inclined to spray a bit of carb cleaner/easy start into the air intake as you hit the starter, it'll help it fire up for that first time and providing old fuels not clogging your jets then all should be good from then on. NC30's are quite often a pain to start after they've stood for a while.

Oh and once it is running make sure you let it get up to temp and give it a bit of a rev every so often if you're not taking it out for a ride.
