Re: Problem with indicators
Right so to sort of jump on this thread and hi jack it a bit, I am also having indicator issues, the indicators take a varying amount of time to come on and before they do so the relay clicks quickly for about a second before any of the lights come on, then they come on and the relay slows down, I have tried a different relay and the connectors looks fine, could this be a problem with the switch pack do you reckon as it seemed to change every time I took the switch pack off
any ideas?

Re: Problem with indicators
Dodgy bulbs all round I reckon.
might have some corrosion in the connections - swap them all around, clean them up.. got to be pretty anal about it and check everything properly..

Re: Problem with indicators
Checked the bulbs, inside the connectors look atonishingly clean, Fiddle with the front indicator wiring and they do seem to come on quicker so I'm thinking it might be as simple as the front indicators are not connected up particularly well, going to check the rear indicator bulbs themselves now see what they look like.

Re: Problem with indicators
the connectors had worked loose! cut and re crimped them sealed it back up and they seem to work fine (well left indicator comes on instantly but right indicator rear flashes once then the front comes on)

Re: Problem with indicators
L/H switchgear problems are common on these bikes, the symptoms show up as indicators taking a while to come on etc.rich1988 wrote:could this be a problem with the switch pack do you reckon as it seemed to change every time I took the switch pack off
Hopefully your problem isn't related to this, but if it is it's s imple job to take the switchgear apart and give it a thorough clean and spray with electrical contact cleaner.
