Anyone had this Problem?

I've had the fairing on and off a fair bit recently, and finally got the bike all back together with the road (nice) fairing on.

I took it for a spin to the local bike meets and found that one of the fasteners has gone/fallen out, which holds the seat unit in place.

I tried replacing the fastener only to find that the threads have gone (its the front one -on the pointy bit of seat unit just below the tank on the right hand side)

so my question is this - has any one else experienced this?

And was it as simple as popping in a helicoil insert?
