Clock Black box

I am renovating another superfour on the back of the clocks is a small black box with four wires all green and yellow with a red band around them going into the clocks the box has a large gold M- max on it anyone tell me what it is.

from what i remember thats a mmax delimiter.. gets rid of the speed restrictor :)
