Carb Needle Shimming.

Post by Neosophist »

Hi there,

I have some Shims from Rick-O i'm going to put in a set of NC24 carbs. There running standard needles (8ZC) and as per the parts book they already have a shim under them, I'm not sure if Rick's shims are slightly thicker than the ones already in there or if they are the same.

Either way, shall I leave them both in there or just use Ricks if there slightly thicker?

I think you'll find that they'll be about the same thickness (or not far from different).

If that is the case then put one of each back in.
