Yo mate, the nc30 and nc35 tachos aren't interchangeable (different signal converters inside).

Just another thing that needs swapping!

Simple! 8-)

no no....The bike is a NC35 but the tacho is from a 30, the only reason being is that the 30 tacho can be removed from the standard housing unit and the 35 cant. I have a custom dash so the 30 tacho was the only option.

So what do i need to be swapping? or should i be searching for a thread on this

You'll be needing an nc35 tacho, same as your cdi/loom.

Are you sure they can't be removed? I have to run an nc35 tacho on mt vfr as it uses an rvf engine, cdi and loom.

You might be able to fit the nc35 tacho internals into an nc30 housing? :?:

They tachos might look very similar, but each will only work with the specific cdi. Hook one up and you'll soon see what's up!

I have a 35 tacho which is moulded into a unit with the temp gauge which = no good. I see no reason why i cant swap the internals over tho.

That's probably the reason she doesn't want to rev cleaner in your video to ;) plug in the RVF tacho and give her a rev  I'd like to hear go all the way

I've got mine the other way round (NC30 CDI, NC35 clocks), the circuits inside are nearly identical, it is easier certainly to take the NC30 tacho out of it's shell and fit it into the NC35 clocks but it can be done the other way round too.

It's a bit of a shame I'm moving as I've already got a spare NC35 tacho and NC30 shell but I have no idea which box they're in!
