Minor electrical glitch

Post by Smitizen »

My right hand indicator is flashing manically after riding in heavy rain last night although my left in fine.
Is there a way to reset or how do i go about fixing it?

Cheers.

Clean out the left hand switchgear. Open it up, remove any dirt with a tissue and spray copiusly with wd40 or similar. This cured the same problem I had on mine...

when you say "its flashing manically"...are you referring to it flashing faster than the normal flash rate?

this is sometimes caused by too much power getting to it.when you put the right indicator on is the rear right on aswell or is it not on at all?

It's ok problem fixed! So satisfying fixing your own bike up!
A wire had snapped off where it had been poorly connected by the last owner.
