ethos exhaust question
hi all, i currently have an ethos half system on my nc30, not sure if the end can is ethos or not as there is nothing written on it apart from competiton use only (and its dead loud), what i want to know is does anyone know of a slip on end can that will fit the ethos pipe that will also pass mot without having to take whole lot off and putting the standard exhaust on

Re: ethos exhaust question
Post some outer diameter measurements of your outlet pipework to end can at the moment...
And perhaps also post a pic of current half system on your bike. That might help you
a bit more here.

The dutch members have a fetish for good looking exhausts...micpec wrote: And perhaps also post a pic of current half system on your bike. That might help you

Re: ethos exhaust question
Just measured up my Ethos and the outer diameter of the pipe that the end can fits on is 39 mm. I'm not aware of any big bore Ethos sytems, but they did change their systems pretty regularly. The can is unlikely to be an Ethos unless it's been re-badged as they're made in Japan for the Japanese market and would have a JMCA badge if anything on it. PICS!

Euh, it's hard to tell as the pics are soo little...
But as far as I know Ethos end cans were not sold with Db-killers..
End can might be other brand....maybe a Viper one?
At confess I am...
During the weekend we had an "small V4" meet with couple of fella's...
all six V4's bikes had different brands exhaust systems or a combination of brands fitted...dutch orchestra.

Re: ethos exhaust question
JMCA badge only tells it's road legal end can in japan..so far I have seen them only on the Ethos half systems. Have not seen any full systems of Ethos that came with end can including the JMCA badge (full systems are/were intended for race use only, right?). Full system I have here, the last section has also +/-39mm outer diameter.superlite wrote:Just measured up my Ethos and the outer diameter of the pipe that the end can fits on is 39 mm.
