Help......NC30 just died on me!
Help everyone......
Just got the NC on the road last Monday, ran as sweet as anything Monday afternoon. Used it for work, 30 mile round trip on Thurs and Sat, no real probs apart from it hunting a bit at tickover and beinga tad lumpy.
I put that down to the race can.
Today went to work, no probs, this evening coming home got half a mile then started running really lumpy, like on 2 pots. A mile later on the motorway it lost all power then died on me. Couldnt get it going for ten mins then it started up again, but really lumpy with no power below 6,000rpm. Got about ten miles limping home off motorway and thru town and it died on me again. his time it kept spinning over until battery went really flat.
My missus came to rescue with a starter pack, but that didnt get it going although it was spinning over fine.
I checked fuel, vac pipes etc at side of road and they were ok. Pushed bike to a mates and dumped in his garage, I'll get it tomorrow.
It was stood for a while before i got it, buts its had new fuel, new battery etc,
Any suggestions please?

I'd be looking at the battery as when it dies you get some running...then lumpiness and then nothing..

Sounds like the carbs have run out of fuel.
Fuel tap?

Cheers guys, its had a new battery a couple of months ago and has always kept its charge ok till now. Would a dodgy reg/rec show these symptoms?
Carbs running out of fuel could sound feasable, when it first happened, I put the choke on and it did run again for a couple of mins, I turned it to reserve too thinking that I had run out of fuel, before checking and having just less than half a tank full, then turned it back.
Got an extra couple of miles again before it died completely
