Re: NC30 - Felt Like it had run out of fuel.
mine does exactly the same im having carbs tuned in a week i let you know if it fixes the probBike runs really well but sometimes when its hot it gets a bit 'lumpy' at low rpm but still revs out ok. At tickover when both cold and hot it seems to 'hunt' a bit. Its standard apart from a race can. Any suggestions, would looking at the jetting or syncing up the carbs help, or maybe valve clearances?
i was going to try the 1mm drill bit method but it might aswell be the sausage roll method as i dont have a clue what id be doing with it anyway , if anyone has pics or can lead me to a thread showing in detail

Re: NC30 - Felt Like it had run out of fuel.
Well guys ive had a similar problem over the last few weeks or so and after many spat dummys i think ive finaly sorted it!!
My NC30 race bike just started running propper ruff all of a sudden, as if it was running out of fuel and also it felt it was hitting a limiter aroung 6k rpm and maybe running on only 3 cylinders, but then it would conk out as if it was out of fuel but would then start again with the choke 5 mins later!!
Things i changed:
new copper cored HT leads,
new battery,
new plugs,
second hand cdi,
Checked coils (OK)
went through all the wiring loom, cleaned all conections!
STILL THE SAME!!!!!
I stripped the carbs and found that the No 2 pot the rubber on the slide where there is a little D bit(over a small air jet) had a chunk out of it!
Got it changed and there was a definate improvement, so then tried my old CDI on it and it improved again so compared the 2 cdi`s and there was a diferance in how it ran!!
But at least i have it running normal again, so cant wait to race it as ive missed my last 2 meets over this problem!
