Re: NC30 tyres
If you want something good and sticky, get either a pair of Dunlop GPR a10's, or a pair of Bridgestone BT090s - essentially track tyres, they're great for a good thrash. No real difference between them (except Bridgestone has stopped importing the BT090 fronts into NZ - FUCK YOU Bridgestone).fixer wrote:After some advice please, what tyres are available for nc30 rear wheels.Only 150/60?.Thanks in advance.
If you're looking for a tyre that's good for the occasional countryside thrash, but will also get you ~15,000km+ of life out of it, you'd be looking at a Dunlop GPR100.
Anything less than that I stay away from - I'd rather have a little less tyre life and a little more available traction, on the one-off chance that I might suddenly need to bring myself to a sudden halt. :)
Usually sets you back 500-600NZD for a pair of tyres, fitted.

+1 on that, we like the BT090's but do more track than road riding.
Less than 200 quid fitted in the UK :-)

I have BT090R fitted and they're really good. I mainly use mine on the road...

+1 on BT090's, both my road and track NC has them on. Great tyre.
