ive just been quoted a price for powder coating my wheels , if i bring them without tyres and discs they will remove bearings (front wheel) chemical strip blast and de-gas and mask off and coat them any colour £110 for the pair , does that sound resonable ??????

I pay about 90 quid a pair for a straight colour and have to deliver them completely stripped !

Its reasonable, nicer colours candys and special effects are 130 ish

There is a place in Warrington called Flare Powder Coating - getting both my wheels done in black - £60 for the two

I was quoted £35 each wheel to have it stripped / blasted and coated in a colour of my choosing.

Powder coat powder has gone up a lot of late, my guy has put mine us as well.
I can get them done for £65 pair, inc new bearings in from wheel. ( for black or white, prob more for any weird colours)

My friend just his blade wheels done in Yellow for £50 at a local powder coaters in Hampshire- that included blasting of some sort to remove the old (hard as nails) paint that was already on there - I'll find out the name of the company and post it up later :smile:

i went and had a look at what ill be getting for my money as the place is not far from where i live and i must admit the wheels they showed me they had just done did look fantastic , not a hint of orange peel, very smooth a real good job , so altho its a little above the prices poppin up here , ill take the chance because i know they will top dollar when there on me bike, ill try haggle um down a bit , see if i can get them to budge hehe :poke:

Tell them you'll be reccomending them to the bike club your part of see what they say :)
