Weird scuffing/scraping noise
Hi guys
Did a search but could'nt find anything, so here goes. The thing is I was sitting on my bike and I heard this faint scuffing/scraping noise when I leaned the it over from left to right. The noise is coming from the right side of the engin. Then I noticed this sound gets louder when you lean it over @ speed. Its not a tapping knocking sound though. What can it be?

Re: Weird scuffing/scraping noise
Hi Goose
Just a couple of simple questions ....
Does the noise alter at all when you operate the clutch ?
Is it rev related or constant (intensity) ?
Have you altered anything (and i mean anything) on the bike recently?
What oil are you using ?
Paul.

Re: Weird scuffing/scraping noise
good you got it sorted.
I had the same problem with a 600, only to the right, it would scrape.
didnt make a difference pulling the clutch, or goign fast or slow.
it turned out ....
...
..
to be the heat deflector rubbing on the orad where i had not attached it under the exhaust.
