Hi Bill, Got the spindle and other pacer today - thanks again

Got the engine in my garage now - it looks like alot of work has to be done to get it to fit properly - cutting the main spar across the frame :o (behind the headstock) is one such job that will need doing. This is to allow the front cylinder head to fit correctly.
I might be able to use some of the othe engine mounts but will need a more secure way of holding the engine up in place rather than the few breeze block I have currently!! :o
In discussions with other forum members - things like a cush drive to cope with the power pulses from the SV engine my be needed but I have to look into this further.
The airbox and throttle bodies are also gonna be difficult to fit!

Watch this space!

Thats where I got the inspiration from!! It was on an old thread possibly on the old forum?

I thought that they were using a TRX 850 engine which is even bigger than the SV!!

Apparently Sv's don't like having their exhausts messed with too much - and need to be kept at the right length - but an underseat is a possibility ;)

Shame, guy on the SV650 forum just gave up on the idea.

I'm also nearing that point! :(

Thing is - 'NCSV' from the 650 forum was alot further ahead than me, the engine I was borrowing has had to be returned to its owner who needed it for racing and I'm due to be a dad in 3 months so I'm not gonna have so much time on my hands.

Therefore I think I'm going to have to give up on it too :(

Maybe I'll do something else with it? The Battery powered bikes seem cool - or maybe shoe horn in a VFR750 lump sometime - but for now its all on hold.

Such a shame, I'd really like to see someone do this.

I'd do it myself (I have a spare NC30 frame and SV650 engine) but it's too much I can't do personally (or get done cheap) and I've already got a stalled project and a bike I need to put back together and sell.

PS Congrats! :-)
