Binge is Back! NC29 Fork Conversion...
Finally found the forum, It was the old URL saved in my favorites so every time I clicked nothing came up, And in the end I just gave up. Tonight I messed around with the URL and got here. :)
Anyway my NC29 is like, pretty much finished now! :)
Just needing some Air vents and its 100%.
clicky - Picture
However, ive got access to a complete ZXR400 front end.
Forks, yokes, Brakes etc.
Now I don't really want to run the ZXR front wheel as its a 3 spoke. So has this conversion been done, And what parts from either bike do I need?
Cheers
Ben

Hiya,
thats fantastic that the bikes up and working and youve got through all the shite running issues etc.
so why change the front end? why are the zxr forks better?

Lol,
bsa bantam forks are also usd. :)
i can see what you mean. they will look better, but are you going to get any better performance out of them? you might be better spending the money on a GF set of springs etc.

GF springs.
Meh
My springs were rebuilt and set up for me by Collin at 100% suspension last year. As was the CBR6 Rear shock. So the geometry of the bike is superb.
Since the rebuild ive tweaked the setup, Raised the yokes back up to about 4mm (as apposed to the 15mm they were dropped to), And ive raised the arse a bit too. But its got well balanced suspension.
I just want USD forks.

Hi going a bit OT here I have that same Carbon Can Co. exhaust on my NC30 (a shinier one however
) and it's baffleless. I would like baffles for the dual ports; do you know where I can get em and are they easy to remove/insert?
Anyway nice bike, always liked your '29. I watched the rebuild over on another forum. Quite inspiring! :D

No worries, and thanks.
Yea my Can has a dull titanium style finish to it, I quite like it. Its "polished" up a bit where it was mounted to an R1 before hand so ive been considering getting it buffed somewhere so it is all one "colour".
The baffles are easy to remove, they just stick in the end of each "port", and are each held in with a rivet from factory, but you can replace it with a self tapping screw just to secure it for an MOT.
Heres a picture with the baffles inserted.
Clicky
No idea where you get them from, I was lucky to get them with mine a I paid £10 for it at an auto Jumble. hah.
Try ebay, or CCC them selves.

Did you saw this topic. This is for NC30 but I think it should work for NC29 as well.

Thanks parus but what I can gather from that thread he is running the Duke front wheel?
As the NC30 rear wheel is odd anyway, so its doesn't matter if they are matched.
