Nc23 - any one fitted a wider rear?

Post by drifterwannab »

Hi all,

Doing my 600rr fairing conversion and the rear tyre now looks dinky under the 600rr tail

Any one fitted a wider rear wheel? found a jap site where they have fitted 190-50/17 and 180-55/17

would this make much difference to the handling? My bike is just for road use doubt it will ever see a track and i dont ride to its limits on the road

interesting 29 & 23 conversions

interesting....

but it did not shown the gap between the tire (the side part) and chain. once i was attempting to fit a rear tire from a 600cc bike (forgot the tire size, probably it was 190) but the chain will likely to touch the tire.

maybe they done also some modifications to the front sprocket.

You can fit a 5.5 inch rear rim to the NC29, requires a fair bit of maching to the hub and sprocket carrier to do.

i have eyeballed a cbr600f 5spoke 5j rim with a 170 rear instead of the 160

What do you think that would be like, if the hub needs milling down i should be able to get that done

:pmsl: after reading the translated engrish version
personally i dunno
seems like alot of work and cash for looks.
if thats what your into then fine...personally i like the way a 400 handles when set up..
if anything, dymags or hrc wheels etc for the ultimate in :wanker: value....the price would proberly work out the same

but thats just me
