Reclaim north wales - anyone coming ?

As its my regular haunt anyway most weekends, it would be rude not to put in an appearance.
So anyone coming along ? fancy meeting along route ? i live just by helsby M56 Jcn 14 so happy to meet people there and then head up (on the none littered with police route) to the ponderosa.
Be on the RC30 so if your up there and see a RC30 on a G plate pop over and say hello

I would come along but I live near Watford so it's a bit too far, The filth really need putting in their place up your way.
Put in a complaint of harrasment if they pull you more than once for no reason.
How bad is the crime rate in Wales? Maybe I will move if there is no rape, murder, house breaks, muggers, nonce,s, illigal immigrants, pikeys, thieveing mp's, pm me if I've fogotten somthing!
Fight the power!

Re: Reclaim north wales - anyone coming ?
you know what, the police are no way near as bad as people or the press make out. maybe i am getting old but i see a pattern forming over the last few years and it always involves summer only bikers, gixxers, loud (and often cheap shite) cans, ridden like twats in large groups with tiny numberplates, and then they wonder why they get stopped or thier mates are getting killed when trying to keep up !
parts of wales are like any rural area, old yokels in tractors, covering the roads in shite often oblivious to the mayhem they are causing. old people driving old rusted cars slowly not expecting bikers at warp 9 and having heart attacks when a bunch of bikers whiz past with loud cans making them frankly shit themselves. these people moan to their councils as they have little else to do and the police have to clearly take action.
we never see the police after october and they only appear again around may to catch the summer biker brigade loons.
accidents and fatalities are remakably low out of season, and yet its also very busy still with bikers all year round.
When i lived in ruthin, you had the normal police through the week and brunstoms bully boys only out at weekends who were in a different class. again its all about times and places, ride like a cock with a tiny numberplate and loud can, expect to be pulled where ever you are, a full size plate hardly slows you down does it ? and that cheap 90 quid can on a IL4 with the "not for road use" ground off, again you may think it sounds ace however its possible not everyone feels the same way, and if you take your time, ride defensivly and with some manners chances of being pulled are very very slim.
every now and then if we go on the usual route that the summer brigade take then we have been "converyor belted" by the police, line you up, quick ANPR, and off you go not to be bothered again. the days of riding with no insurance, tax and mot are long gone, sadly some of us bikers feel a bit above the law and fail to grasp the simple yet effective thing called change and ANPR and then cry foul when prosecuted for breaking the law, or familys are upset after the loss of a loved one regardless to the facts he wasnt licensed, insured or more but went out on a borrowed (or often stolen) bike from merseyside or manchester with his mates for a burn.
I am 40 now and i would be lying to say i dont speed, of course i do, but there are times and places, and there is speeding and thier is sheer loonacy. I feel the police are fighting a losing battle under strict orders from wolfenden now to continue the legacy brunstrom has left before his replacement arrives, now for those in the know i hear its a done deal. the new CC for northwales is actually pro bike. The cynical me reckons MCN also know this, and when there is possibly change coming anyway regardless, MCN can claim victory and splash it over thier rag like a trophy.
One of the guys who comes out with us is cheshire traffic, and the pressure between cheshire police and northwales police is remarkable. If he gets stopped in northwales they throw the book at him, and vice versa, certainly little respect between forces. this has grown over the years seemingly encouraged by brunstrom as a tit for tat squabble. I am hoping this will now disapear too now brunstoms gone.
Its going to be a busy weekend and sure the police wont be blind, all i can say is be very aware of the skoda octavia estates which are all unmarked as are the new 5 series estates. I worked next door until 2 weeks ago where they prep and repair the cars, and the new batch of unmarked cars was an eye opener. There are a couple of bad eggs in the force, one takes delight in baiting cars and bikes (no quarms - he hates all motorists) driving close to the edge pushing you into a race or to make a move before nicking you. This one guy used to ride one of the 3 unmarked blades last year too. he seems to be hated by all. Just remember you dont have to say anything. let them do the work. but if your not legal in any way then you cannot afford to be smug.
As i recently saw posted on another forum, someone said and i quote "wont catch me leaving cheshire to ride in northwales, i dont want to be stopped for me numberplate"
The general reply was, if your willing to miss out on some of the best roads in britain on your doorstep because your numberplates a bit small then you are a prick. a camera will still catch your plate if speeding, your likely to be pulled anywhere, and for what, so it looks a bit nicer for the sake of 1"

Lol indeed its just landed thanks. bought a cabriolet, found myself making a "urrgh" noise when i bend down to pick something up, and found myself in hein gericke looking at the flouro jackets for a brief moment before sense kicked in. however i guess its only a matter of time before sensible takes over

LMAO.. fluoro jackets...
Was just going to say a great post Paul. I am only a youngster..compared to you
but it does my nut that people think teeny plates and chopped and slashed cans are great work.
I am all for people being pulled and busted for these kind of offences. Zero tolerance is a good call. Ride defensively and have some respect and you are going to live a long and fruitful biking life.
Fluoro jacket...I dare you

Re: Reclaim north wales - anyone coming ?
good post son, for the most part i agree, there are far too many cheque book heros with all the gear and no idea(r). like you say the type with the dinky plates and the like. i am a young lad and have a loud can fitted, perhaps it is too loud in some people's opinions.
The roads that this rideout seems to be taking place on is a super road, the A5 is an immense road to ride on and does lull you into a bit of road racing. now i have never rode the road in a group (been up it 4 times) but all the times i rode it i wanted to go fast.
but i will never complain about the police, well all know who is in sole control of the left right paw.....
