From full tank to flicking onto reserve when she starts to splutter:

180km commuting (half motorway, half residential)
210km only on the motorway
160km in the weekends in the countryside

sounds good, just i have something important to do and was hoping to see some motorway figures like that. 210km sounds good to me. hopefully 60 quid should cover a round trip then :)

thanks for the info fella :)

That sounds pretty spot on to me.

Here what I have found:

Giving it some, on a good road: 38mpg.
Taking it normal, the occasional bit of fun: 43mpg.
Motorway riding at steady speeds: 49mpg.

£60 should be plenty if your frugal..

I use mine mainly for getting backwards and forwards to work and get around the 50mpg mark, but that's lots of stop/starting and changing early (around 7k)
A good site i found for working out the MPG and even the cost per mile is http://www.torquecars.com/tools/uk-mpg-calculator.php
