Rear Tyre size NC30
Has anyone ever tried running a 160/60-18 rear tyre on the back of their NC30's?
I'm on a total refurb with my NC at the moment and have put a 160 Azzaro Storm on the back. It has plenty of clearance with the chain guard and the swingarm, and clears everything else by miles.
Ive just never come across a topic about this, maybe I'll be a guinea pig!!!!!!
any suggestions guys
Cheers, Neil

It will change the handling slightly and throw your speedo out, but it will work ok.

I've an RVF rear on the back of my VFR and I run a 160/60-17. Never had an issue.

Can you fit a 150/80 18 on the back? As i have a Pirelli scorpion tyre that I was thinking of sticking on the back to give the bike a bit of a survivalist look.
Will it fit and not foul anything? Has aanyne done this?

Thanks viper and stickshift
I worked it out that there shouldnt be much of a difference, because of the lower profile.
Go to admit the Azaro Storm rear tyre looks good. I'll let everyone know how i get on ( if its ever finshed b4 the end of the season!!!)
This is a link with just a few of the hundreds of pics taken so far, think I may have to repaint the fork lowers in Ford Graphite grey th?

Nice job you have done on the bike, what type of exhaust is on it? It looks really well.

The silencer is a Yoshimura HRC can in an anodised grey/ black. Got to admit up and till 2002 I was in the bike industry for over 20 years and have never seen one yet!
Its go a small scratch and I'm contemplating stripping it down and getting it re anodised to make it perfect again

There's a reason for that: It's a badge that was sold on ebay that has been stuck on. I had some...demaliar68 wrote:The silencer is a Yoshimura HRC can in an anodised grey/ black. Got to admit up and till 2002 I was in the bike industry for over 20 years and have never seen one yet!
NC30/35 HRC mufflers are all allloy skinned with mild steel inlet and outlets.
Suzuki has a vested interest in Yoshimura, HRC would never be associated with them.
In saying that though the badges are good quality, look good, and I think I did put one on a muffler!!
