Running With restrictors
Ive just had my NC30 restricted and took it out for the first time today. Im not legal on it yet but wanted to see how it rode.
Anyway the restriction was done by Honda.
I just want to know if anyone else has or has had theirs restricted does it run like mine.
Acceleration in first, it takes off then hits a flat spot around 8-9k but it does go on to the red line. I tried crusing in 4th at 60 and it just seems to cough and splutter and drops to 40mph, forcing me to shift into second then it still splutters but eventually gets back up to 60. The thing is, is the splutter, it feels as though im running out of fuel even though im not. If I open the throttle when doing 60 in 4th theres nothing there and the bike jerks, and sends me bouncing back wards and forwards.
Does anyone elses do this?

Re: Running With restrictors
I think he means restricted to 33bhp rather than the top end restricted (that is assuming you talking about the top end restriction)

Re: Running With restrictors
Have the Honda people changed the jetting? They should do..and give you your old ones for when you remove the plates and rejet it back to standard.
It will be running pretty rich I'd guess and the surging would seem to back it up. Go and ask them if they changed the jets...if not they did half a job and I'd not be impressed...especially with a Honda dealer!

Re: Running With restrictors
thanks for the replies, i am talking about the 33 bhp restrictors. They did not give me any of my old jets which I was aware they were supposed to give me them, I thought they just installed the restrictors and it was fine then.
My dad sorted it all so ill get him to get onto them but my dads mate has bought his motorcycling gear with him today so hes going to take it for a ride to give us his opinion
