Job number 2- Carb overhaul
Having now got the bike up and running after 3-4yrs storage it's clear that it's not running particularly well although it wasn't the best before it was parked up.
I'd like to strip the carbs and give them a quick overhaul but wondered if anyone had any info on how to tackle this job.
I'm sure I stumbled across some instructions on here but can't seem to find them.
Can anyone help?

Read this for usefull info.
http://tonysleep.co.uk/gsxr400carbs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Carb cleaner spray and loads of O rings. I would get some float bowl seals also as once removed are prone to leaking otherwise you wil be taking them apart again.
It looks like a hard job but I've never touched a bike before and I did it. Just take ya time.
The O rings make a massive difference and is the best thing I did to my bike. The O rings break down and over fuels when hot causing rough running and stalling.
Good luck.

You can get the o-rings from 'Variablevalves suck' on here. He sells them as a set on ebay. His profile is: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/xboxxboxxboxxbox" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The other gaskets are available from Robinsons Foundry:

Thanks for all the advice.
I think the only O rings I now need to get are the Viton ones.
Variablevalves suck, do you have any of the Viton o rings to go on the inside of the carbs?

Sure do mate, Viton as per Suzuki original. If your old ones are bad they make a big difference.

Re: Job number 2- Carb overhaul
Could I purchase a complete set of O rings from you variablevalve sucks. I had a look on ebay but you currently have none listed.
I have a paypal account that I can transfer the funds.
I take it that a set means enough o rings for all 4 carbs?
