Hi, just to tell you all where I have gone with this, well unbelievably I chose the Beowulf stubby, for reasons not mentioned here above.
The reason? Looking at pics around the site of my bike you will notice dings and scrapes on the Simmi can, these are not caused by over zelouse riding but by running an assault course securing my bike every night, where my bike,short legs, arms and tubby gut have to get past a big drain pipe, step and thin outhouse door, so the odd knock is enevitable. The main candidate has always been the outside or edge of the can. Enter the stubby with its trimmer waist and shorter reach, problem solved.
